This is quite a schematic terra cotta representation of a deceased family member, made to be bueried with the subject, hidden with death, among other personal objects and clothing. The figurine obviously represents an elderly relative. His eyes are very round but in sunken relief, his areola and navel are prominent, and he sports a long braided goatee. His body is clothed in a kind of richly decorated toga, marked out in finely chiseled geometrical patterns inside a checkerbox pattern of engravings. The man is wearing a heavy necklace, also visible from the back, and its arms have been broken at the biceps.
The feet are massive, almost naive, and ensure the stability of the piece.
