This is the head of a weeping character, with a very dramatic and unhappy air. The eyes are depicted as if he had been struck by a deep emotion, with tears; the lips are tight, and the tears are imminent. An infinite sadness emerges from this character on whom two scarifications streak each cheek and a crow's-foot is marked upon the face.
This is a very moving and fascinating piece depicting great pain.
