Nigeria, Niger, Burkina Faso
This is the head of a male character, with well-crafted braided hair and scarifications on the cheeks. The eyes and the mouth are closed, the three horizontal slits resembling loopholes closed on the outside. This funerary effigy is most forceful from the left profile. With its nose in the air, the character suddenly seems astonished, doubtful, dreaming.
Like the other pieces, the back of the head was minimally worked.
