Classical Nok position, man seated on a upturned calabash
This 2,000 year old man endured through the ages seated on an inverted calabash, his arms crossed on his folded knees. His body is surrounded by a large belt with five rope rolls. His arms, his wrists, his neck, even his head are ornated. His nostrils and eyes are pierced. The position of the man is classicaly Nok, meditative and relaxed. No doubt we are viewing a work of art of incredible maturity awoken from the mists of time. Headdress and hairstyle are mingled, with a very beautifully decorated bow on the nape of his neck and two buns on the side in the shape of coils.
His legs are very thin, almost stylized. His back is separated by a vertical line.
