Katsina, right leg and arm broken

This is a small Katsina statue missing its right arm and leg. The statue is pink with an uneven beige coating. The head is quite typical of Katsina statuary because of its prominent jaw line and thin limbs. The hairstyle is very different from that of the Nok or the Sokoto. The expressive face is captivating.

This piece has been done with simplicity and limited means, and its force comes from its auterity.
