This rather eroded piece, quite pale and in a beige-pink color, presents typically Nok features. These features are rather coarse however, with a large broad nose, a half-open mouth and rather bulky eyes. The cranium is in the shape of cupola with small horizontal scratches, the forehead is large. The head-wear is hieratic, as is the solemn expression. We may be dealing with a fragment of a larger statue column, hand on chest, as a guard, soldier, or a different military representation.
