Sao, Chad, Niger
Small bust of a very simplified man with a barely worked head, two balls for arms and a large round navel. The nose descends from the hair, the eyes are two balls and the mouth just two thick clumps of earth. The profile reveals a large arched nose, prominent lips, and a pointed navel. The remainder is a perfect cylindrical barrel.
The character has a singular force and its stylization makes it seem almost contemporary. The trunk has been broken and reattached.
